The deadline to register to vote is October 11, for the November 8 Presidential Election. In Texas, citizens do not register by political party, but simply in their county of current residence. There is a 30-day waiting period before a registration becomes effective for any election.
To receive a Voter Registration Application:
▪ Download and print Texas Voter Registration Application from Wilco.org
▪ Call the Elections Department at (512) 943-1630
▪ Pick up an application at locations throughout the county; Post Offices, Libraries, and DPS locations.
Mail completed applications to: Williamson County Elections P.O. Box 209 Georgetown, TX, 78627 or, hand deliver it to the Elections Department, located at the Inner Loop Annex 301 S.E. Inner Loop, Suite 104 Georgetown. You may fax your application to 512-943-1634 but it must be followed by the hard copy within four business days. (Please include “Application was faxed” at the top of the application.) Note to those who renew their driver’s license on the Texas Department of Public Safety website, DPS provides a link to update your voter registration application. Be aware you must complete the form, PRINT and mail it in.
