Mike [Sweeney] is definitely the type of person we need in Congress. A self-made successful businessman in the computer software encryption arena. The major war being waged today is stealing of electronic documents and the planting of viruses that could take down our communications and electrical grids. His business daily addresses these issues and develops products to counter these. He will be a strong advocate to bring these types of businesses to our area which are good high-paying jobs which adds diversity to our local economy. For too long, attorneys have controlled our congress and change is needed. Mike can and will be that change for the better.

I am supporting Mike Sweeney for Congress because he is neither a politician nor a lawyer. I believe his business background is what we need and will serve us well.

The true core values of a representative are revealed by examining their congressional voting record. I did just that after a friend told me that 14-year incumbent John Carter and Mike Sweeney shared the same Conservative values.
Luckily, there are several well-respected organizations that rank Congressional members based solely on how Conservative they vote.
I found Scorecard gave John Carter a 51% Liberty score and Ted Cruz a 92%. Freedom Works gave Carter a 70% score and Ted Cruz a 87% score. Heritage’s Action for America gave Carter a 58% score and gave Ted Cruz an 82% score. These ratings demonstrate John Carter is not close to being as Conservative as Ted Cruz.
In closing, it is clear that Mike Sweeney and Ted Cruz share the same Conservative values. Both are lifelong Republicans. Both believe it is their responsibility to vote the values of their constituents. Both are Constitutional originalists. Both support term limits. Both believe in strong national security. Mike’s business experience as President and founder of an IT company provides him with valuable knowledge about national cyber security issues and solutions.
I believe Congressional District 31 would be well served to have both Sweeney and Cruz representing us in Congress!
