Five veterans were escorted in style to Austin airport for an Honor Flight to Washington DC September 20. Compliments of Jared King and Cook-Walden Funeral Home, veterans of the Vietnam War were able to relax and enjoy each other’s company to the airport, and the car returned to bring them home the next evening.
Honor Flight takes combat veterans, at no cost to them, to visit their memorials in the Nation’s Capital. They are escorted by guardians and attend many special events, as VIPs on their two-day excursion.
